Really like the direction taken by penpot team, nevertheless in practice, as a designer or dev, I need something like a token checker or token information panel, to let me know what token are need of a selected element (knowing and editing), or better for group of elements. Scrolling in the actual panel let a lot of noise troubling you, when you just want to get the name of the tokens in place. Would be happy to have your feedback.
I agree with you, it would be helpful to have better token control and visualization capabilities. For example, I'd love to see how many times a particular token is applied across different elements. I think it's a very valid improvement proposal that could significantly simplify the workflow for both designers and developers.
